Parents are flooding councils with complaints about play equipment amid fears for their children’s safety as a Daily Telegraph investigation can reveal NSW has the most damaged or dangerous playgrounds in the country. Parents are worried because they’re increasingly finding poorly maintained or broken play equipment littered with drug paraphernalia, rusty nails and pernicious mould. The state’s playgrounds continue to be the most complained-about in the country with the number of complaints soaring by 79 per cent in the past three years.
